A STUDENT OF SMK KESEHATAN PELITA BANGSA GETS THE HIGHEST SCORE OF NATIONAL EXAM FOR PHARMACY PROGRAM IN BANTUL AND DIY

Riska Safitri (17), a student of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa got the highest score of national exam for pharmacy program in Bantul and DIY. Riska got the total score of 345,4 which is consisted of Bahasa Indonesia 88; English 84; Mathematics 87,50; and Pharmacy 85,90. The average of her score is 86,35. This score is obviously high since that result achieved with hard work. 

The honor of outstanding student was given to Riska during the Graduation and Student Inauguration of Grade XII Batch 2, SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa on Saturday (20/05) located in the Hall of K-24 Academy. The honor was given directly by the head of Pelita Indonesia Foundation which is also the main director of PT. K-24 Indonesia, dr. Gideon Hartono, and was accompanied by the headmistress of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa, Ari Widiastuti. It was also witnessed by Riska’s parents, Juremi and Rusdiana. 

Besides the highest score achieved by Riska Safitri, SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa also achieved other accomplishments, which are the second highest national exam average score in Bantul (including public and private schools) and the second highest national exam average score for pharmacy program in DIY. These achievement showed that SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa is a pharmacy school that produces reliable and skilled human resources in its field. With professional teaching team and practitioners, SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa succeeded to guide its students to be the best. Every student studying in SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa also gets a guarantee to work at PT. K-24 Indonesia after graduating.

dr. Gideon Hartono as the main director of PT. K-24 Indonesia also conveyed his message that in the upcoming year, SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa will have a ‘sister’, which is undergraduate program for pharmacy, which is still in the process of licensing. “Starting from this year, PT. K-24 Indonesia can promise to give scholarship for 2 associates to study in the next level,” said dr. Gideon which got huge applause from the audiences. 

The graduation day that afternoon was also elivened with the performance of students from grade X and XI. They performed ‘Tari Angguk’ which is a traditional dance from Kulonprogo, acoustic music, and also modern dance. The audience was entertained with the performance from those students. It also proves that the students of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa are not only skilled in pharmacy but also in arts. 

During that event, the head of Middle Education Agency, Suhirman, M.Pd and the supervisor of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa, Ariani. During his speech, Suhirman conveyed his hope towards the students of SMK Kesehatan Pelita Bangsa, “Do not be satisfied with only one graduation, you should make sure that you join the second or third graduation in the next level. Hopefully, the students of SMK Pelita Bangsa really become the light of the nation in the future,” he said.
